There are numerous free fonts available on the web, and some are basically a list of clip art images that can be used at any resolution. This Tool-a-hoop will cover the basics of using a font in a Photoshop document and doing some basic modifications such as horizontal and vertical spacing, scaling, distorting, masking, and layer properties. Photoshop has great text editing tools that make it really easy to get basic fonts looking good.
