Description
Mohammad Torabi, a statistician with Research Computing Support, will teach an introductory course in using the SPSS statistical package on PCs. Although different statistical methods will be discussed in the class, a basic understanding of Statistical Terms is assumed.

- Descriptive statistics
- Frequency (Contingency) Tables, and related statistics.
- Correlation.
- Mean comparison methods (t-test and ANOVA, including pre-post test)
- Time allowing, a short discussion of plotting data.
