Description

The Photoshop Basics workshop is an entry-tier workshop designed to familiarize students with the Photoshop program, specifically its interface and rudimentary tools. The workshop will cover creating a new document, using the various selection tools, and utilizing fundamental editing techniques to create a unique image for use on the web. No previous Photoshop experience needed.

Objectives

  • Raster images
  • Understanding the resolution (dpi) of your computer screen
  • Layers and the layer palette
  • The history palette and a saved snapshot
  • The brush tool and paint bucket
  • Text and shapes
