Description


A hands-on tutorial led by the D2L Support Team. Each participant will use D2L's content management tool to create links to electronic course reserves materials such as PDFs, web sites, PowerPoint presentations and digitized movies. Participants will have the opportunity to upload their own files into a real course site. Attendees will leave the workshop not only with new skills, but also with partially built course sites. Facilitators will demonstrate how to use D2L's reports tool to determine whether or not students have accessed course materials.

Recommended Preparation:

Participants must have a D2L course site.

Participants should have access to their course reserve materials. To get a ZIP file with all reserve materials for a course, send an email request with the course department and number (ex: HIST 458 or ED L279) to askddt@u.library.arizona.edu

Audience: faculty, teaching assistants, support staff, preceptors

Objectives

  • Download ZIP course files from UA Libraries server
  • Upload course files to D2L server
  • Organize the presentation of the course materials
  • Create links to course materials
  • Rename files as necessary
  • Control/Restrict access to materials
  • Determine whether or not students are acessing at course materials
