Description

PowerPoint is a presentational tool that allows you to place text and graphics on slides so you can visually present main points, ideas and concepts of a topic you will speak to an audience about. During this workshop you will 1) navigate through the new user interface of PowerPoint 2007, 2) create a PowerPoint presentation with a customized look and feel, 3) insert and format visual aids into slides, 4) navigate through the different views of a slide show presentation, 5) prepare and print notes and handouts, and 6) emphasize content with the use of animation. No previous experience with PowerPoint is needed.

Objectives

  • Use the Ribbon, Tabs, Quick Access Tools, Contextual Tools, and the Office Button to create a PowerPoint presentation.
  • Edit and format the design of a slide.
  • Edit and format Master Templates and Master layouts.
  • Insert and format graphs, tables, pictures, shapes and SmartArt.
  • Navigate and use the notes, slide sorter, outline, normal and slide show views to organize and review content and the flow of a presentation.
  • Print notes for a presenter to use as a guide to systematically explain the content on a slide.
  • Print handouts for the audience to use as reference guides to follow when viewing each slide and listening to the speaker.
  • Add entrance, emphasis and exit animation to highlight or stress content on a slide.
