Types of Accounts

Accounts managed by UITS Account Administration

Email Account

The UA issued email account (UAConnect) for faculty and staff.

U-System Account

A U-System account, also known as a 'shell' account, can be obtained after creating a UA NetID. Once an account is created the U-System account allows access to UNIX resources for websites, utilities, compilers, and software applications such as statistics, math, and graphics.

High Performance Computing and High Throughput Computing Accounts

HPC/HTC accounts are provided to faculty or sponsored individuals who are conducting research.

UA Box Account 

UA Box provides 35GB of individual, flexible online space for storing or sharing files at no additional cost. All Box content can be accessed online from computers or mobile devices.

UA G Suite for Education

G Suite for Education provides access to Google's full suite of apps from any computer or mobile device. These include Mail, Google Calendar, Google Drive (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations), Google Sites, Labs, and Google Video.
